Influence of environmental policies on waste treatment

Countries' growth along with the need to protect environment has made waste management a major global concern. In this study, detailed analysis is carried out of current situation in 41 countries belonging OECD and/or European Union, order identify most sustainable practices that could be successfully implemented other nations similar characteristics. Cluster used detect homogeneous groups, shedding light on possible connection between environmental policies and treatment. Contingency tables are employed determine relationship effectiveness adopted two indicators practices: material recycling generation.
